A LINK BETWEEN THE PORT AND THE CITY

The port of Veracruz has a commitment with our community, therefore actions are undertaken in its benefit. Social benefit works, such as the construction of the urban Boulevard, located at kilometer 13.5, which will provide relief to the traffic jams and noise caused by trucks and trailers in the northern area of the city, the area closest to the Port. This project, of great vision and benefit for the city, will prevent more than 1500 trucks and trailers, inbound and outbound from the port every day, from damaging our streets and will allow them to transport their merchandise promptly and safely to their destination; and in a similar fashion, the construction of Allende Bridge, and the extension of Morelos Bridge.
Also, part of the budget is destined to environmental protection, and so, for several years we have been conducting specific programs that contribute to the preservation of the environment. One of these programs is Spring Seeding, which began March this year, and until this day, 21 schools have participated in seeding more than 3,300 trees, in various areas inside the facilities of the port.

We also have the Get to Know your Port program, which gives the opportunity to young students of having guided tours inside the facilities of the port, materializing the knowledge they acquired in their classroom.
